30 Breads | No.1 Beer Bread
I’ve always found bread challenging. Cakes, cookies and desserts have never been a problem. But bread never seems to work out for me. So, inspired by Elisa Blaha’s challenges that she sets herself, I though I would undertake a baking challenge this year – try and bake 30 different breads (be it loaves, rolls or perhaps something different like croissants – not exactly bread, but you have to knead it etc.). I’m hoping that this will help my technique and give me better results 🙂
So, to start off the year, I made Beer Bread.
I stumbled across the recipe from a knitting blog, but the recipe is from Dine & Dish, a new to me blog. The recipe couldn’t be simpler. Literally chuck it all in the bowl, mix, pour into a greased bread pan and cover with melted butter. Put it in the oven, and an hour later you have delicious beer bread 🙂 No need for kneading, yeast or fancy techniques. A nice and easy recipe to start of the year!
I’m not a fan of beer, but I do like beer in things, like beer batter etc. I found this bread very tasty and moreish and will definitely be making it again!
